| PRE-OPERATIVE
TESTING |
 |
Once you have scheduled your surgery, the next step
is to schedule your pre-operative testing. This
generally consists of chest x-ray, some blood work
and an EKG, which is an electrical picture of your
heart. Be sure to do this one week prior to surgery
so that if any of the results indicate the need
for further testing this can be done without postponing
your surgery. |
 |
Local
Patients: If you live locally, the surgery scheduler
will fax all needed paperwork with instruction to
the facility for these procedures. The hospital
will then call you to set up an appointment.
|
 |
Out of town Patients: Please use prescriptions
provided at the back of the booket for you procedures.
Please be sure they are completed two weeks before
surgery. If you or the facility where you are having
procedures have any questions please call 512-231-1444
and ask for surgery scheduling. |
